On January 13, 2012: I was driving down Greenway this morning near Cave Creek and I saw a lady trying to catch a terrified & panicked stray who was darting back and forth in front of 3 lanes of stopped vehicles. I jumped out of my truck and crouched down in the median………the dog came to me, yet stayed far enough out of my reach………Cars stayed still……..I grabbed her but she slipped out of hands…….she’s darting around the median……..a person honks his horn……”I’m busy here”, I shout…….I don’t take my eyes off of her……..she circles me as I remain in a crouched position……..she gets just close enough…….I quickly grab her and wrestle her to the dirt ground…….I lay outstretched on the ground with a dog under me in my tight grip……….cars start moving……..I gain a tighter grip and I stand to my feet….she is fighting me all the way to my truck……..I toss her inside and we drive home. Whew! No collar, doubtful there is a chip but I will take her to a vet today & have her scanned. She is young, a very pretty girl with beautiful green eyes, Chihuahua mix, nice color. Can anyone take this little girl? I am at my dog limit already. Sweet girl!
